Almost 38 Weeks

I saw my doctor today and she said that I'm 3 cm dilated now. So I'm getting there slowly but surely. She said I already have the early part of labor behind me by dilating already. That was good to hear. And she is guessing my labor will go real quick. Hopefully she is right. :-) The baby is still -2 station and I'm 50%. I really feel great. Just getting a bigger, rounder belly. I seem to get lots of stains on my shirts these days. The belly is quite the spot catcher. I also have a fair amount of energy, lose steam in the early afternoon, and get a good second wind in the evening.

I've been trying to wrap up things at work this week, and I'm making good progress. I am very much looking forward to maternity leave and some good quality family time.

Another Dr. Appt

I saw my doctor again today and everything checked out fine. I go every week now, so it will be weird when I have the baby and don't have to go. They are a really nice set of nurses and doctors that I enjoy catching up with regularly. Anyways, my blood pressure was spot on a 110/65. I'm still dilated 2cm, 50%, -2 station. So, I really haven't changed at all in a week. However, I do feel a lot more cramping and braxton hicks. So, it is just a matter of time. I'll be 37 weeks tomorrow so anytime in the next three weeks is good. I am also sleeping great so no complaints there. I am so grateful that this pregnancy has been uneventful. Just perfect!

Man and His Friend

Piper never knows if Devin is going to give her a big hug and kiss or terrorize her. But she is quite the trooper nonetheless. These pictures of Piper crack me up. She is such a good dog.

Easter Egg Hunt

We took Devin to our clubhouse for the Easter Egg Hunt this year. He had a great time. Although he wanted nothing to do with the Easter Bunny!

I realize that I've been way behind in my postings, so hopefully this will catch us up. :-) Here's a few pictures from when Devin and I went to the zoo and Fairy Tale Town. He loved driving the train!!

Wonder When Baby #2 Will Arrive?

I had a dr. appt last Thursday at 36 weeks. My doctor said that I'm already 2 cm dilated, 50% and -2. So, this baby may come early. It was quite the wakeup call when she gave me copies of my paperwork and instructions on going to the hospital. I remember being at this stage with Devin for about 2 weeks before giving birth, so it will be interesting to see if the same holds true for this one. It did kick me into high gear over the weekend to set up the co-sleeper, pack my bag, etc. Rich was planning on going on another backpacking trip this week but canceled after I felt a lot of cramping Sat night and Sunday morning. But it subsided thankfully. I'd like to keep this baby in the cooker until at least 38 weeks. And I'm sure I won't go into labor now that Rich decided to stay in town. haha. My next Dr. appt is tomorrow, so I'll report back if there are any changes.
