Quick...Get the hose.

After dinner tonight, we just wheeled the highchair outside to wipe Devin down. He thought it was funny! And we aren't quite sure why the bib is on the chair and not on him. Oh well!

Trip to San Francisco

Here are some pictures from our fun weekend in San Francisco. It was a big weekend - Devin took a few steps and Rich put up a great performance at the Alcatraz Invitational Swim....way to go daddy!

11 Months Old

We have officially crossed the 11 month mark. I can hardly believe that Devin's first birthday is right around the corner. Our big boy is so much fun right now. He is still all smiles and a happy kid. He loves to play and is starting to put his toys in the toy box and then pull them out again. And pull toys are a new favorite. We just got him some shape sorting and block stacking toys which are also a big hit.

Devin can crawl super fast. And he is walking around the furniture really well. He will let go and stand on his own, but is not legitimately walking yet. I'm guessing he'll start in the next month or so. He is very sturdy with good balance.

In terms of eating, our boy will gobble up anything you give him pretty much. He is all about feeding himself but, thankfully, he'll let you spoon feed him some yogurt. So far, we have not experienced any food allergies. We'll get going on whole milk around his first birthday, but my guess is that he'll be fine considering all the dairy he eats now.

Thankfully, Devin is still sleeping the night. It is soooo wonderful. He goes to be around 8 p.m. and then gets up around 6 a.m. I usually pull him in bed at that point and he'll sleep another hour. But when he wakes up, it is hilarious. He instantly sits up and climbs all over you. It is funny. As for naps, Devin takes two longer naps in the day with each one ranging an hour or two. He is good about napping in his porta crib at both his grandparents' houses. In fact, he naps better for them than mommy and daddy. On the weekend, I often wonder if we need to go to Grandma and Grandpa's house for a nap. haha.

Devin can sign "more" and "all done" pretty well. He will give you the "all done" sign when he is in his crib which is pretty cute. He also is trying to say new sounds like he is trying to talk. He really understands you too. I can ask him to go and get a toy and he will. Such a smart boy!

We got a new bike trailer last week thanks to the help of Uncle Roger and Aunt Cathy. Now, Devin can go on rides just like his cousin James. Devin loved our first outting and had his hands up in the air like he was riding a roller coaster. So fun.

I just went to the store today to buy some warmer clothes. We are going to San Francisco this weekend for Rich's Alcatraz swim and it is supposed to be super cool. I bought a bunch of 2T pants to fit Devin's waist. But I have a feeling I'll have to get a quick sewing lesson from my mom so I can hem them up. Shirts are hit and miss between an 18-24 month and 2T sizes. When do kids stop growing so fast?

I will be sure to take some pictures this weekend and post them online shortly. In the mean time, wish Rich luck on his race.
