This has been an exciting time. Devin is talking up a storm and can put a few words together like, "I did it" and "I pee'd in the tub." So funny. He can say and point to all the animals in his books. And he's pretty much mastered his flashcards that include trucks, tractors, bikes, etc. He is a quick study on new words these days. He also can point to his body parts pretty well.
The biggest milestone was him giving up his pacifier. He always called it his "mimi" and he was pretty demanding about it. I always wondered how we were going to take that from him and to our luck, he gave it up himself. One day, he just spit it out and no longer wanted it. He's been off the pacifier a few weeks now, and will ask for it on occaision. But we just say that we don't have any anymore. And that is the truth because I threw them all in the garbage the first chance I had. He is all grown up now. I'm so thankful he made that choice all by himself. Phew!
Devin seems to be sprouting up lately. All his pants became short all of a sudden. He goes to the doctor on the 24th, so we'll get his stats then. But it seems like he just finished a growth spurt. And he has been so great about taking a 3 to 4 hour nap in the day. At night, he will get up sometimes, but we just open our door and tell him to go back to bed. He may fuss for a few minutes but then he slams his door shut and goes to bed. He's quite the drama guy! It is so nice that we are in a good routine sleeping now. Amen to that!
Devin also got two more teeth recently. He got his 2nd molars on the bottom, so he just has the last two on top to go. These last few molars were much easier than the others. Yeah.
We have been enjoying the good weather and try to go on a walk or bike ride each day. Devin has a bike trailer we pull behind our bike. He loves it and happily wears his helmet.
Those are the bigs items going on with Devin. Thanks for checking in.
